Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out!
It is generally not recommended to substitute one component for another without fully understanding the circuit and how the substitution may affect the performance of the circuit. The LM358P and LM7332 are two different operational amplifiers (op-amp) ICs with different specifications and characteristics. Substituting the LM7332 with the LM358P could potentially cause issues with the circuit and result in improper operation or failure.
The LM7332 is a high-speed, low-power CMOS op-amp with a bandwidth of 19 MHz and a low input bias current, making it well-suited for use in high-frequency applications. On the other hand, the LM358P is a general-purpose op-amp with a bandwidth of only 1 MHz and a higher input bias current, making it less suitable for high-frequency applications.
If you are looking for a through-hole op-amp to use as a low-pass filter in a subwoofer amplifier, you may want to consider using a component specifically designed for this purpose, such as the TL072 or TL082. These op-amps have a lower bandwidth than the LM7332 but are still capable of handling the frequencies typically used in subwoofer amplifier applications and are available in through-hole packages.
It is important to carefully select components for a circuit based on their specifications and how they will be used in the circuit to ensure proper operation and performance. If you are uncertain about which component to use, it is always a good idea to consult the circuit's documentation or seek guidance from a professional.
