You do realize that your footprint import instructions for KiCad 5 do not work at all?
KiCad requires [name].kicad_mod, not [name].mod, and the format is also wrong for direct import into a library.

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us! We were informed that we will
always be able to load any symbol and/or footprint libraries created by older versions of KiCad. Our users are able to import our parts into KiCad 5.0 following our import guide:
1. In KiCad, go to Tools > Edit PCB Footprints.
2. Click on Preferences > Manage Footprint Libraries.
3. Click on Browse Libraries and navigate to the downloaded .mod file. Then click OK. The library will appear in the Global Libraries tab.
4. In the table, make sure that the Plugin Type is set to Legacy. Then click OK.
5. Click on Load footprint from library > Select by Browser.
6. Navigate to the footprint you imported and double-click to open it.
Here is a video that demonstrates the process: https://www.useloom.com/share/02809006c2204207911468c4a1445457
Please let us know if that works for you, we are here to help!
