How to import layout footprint into OrCad 16 Layout
Hi,
Imported schematic outline no problem using your instruction.
Cannot see how to import layout footprint. - maybe looking in wrong place?
Should be a .lib file in layout library but not there.
(C:\OrCAD\OrCAD_16.0\tools\layout\library)

Hi there!
You should be able to simply double-click on the .dra file included in the download. We provide the .dra, .psm, and .pad files for Allegro in the download and that should be sufficient to import it.

Thank you for the quick response. I'm afraid that doesn't solve the problem. The software I have is Cadence OrCad v16 NOT Allegro.
OrCad doesn't recognise .dra - .psm or .pad files.
The Layout files are .lib.
The capture file worked fine - it is just the layout footprint which is not OrCad compatible.

I was not aware that OrCAD Layout does not support .dra .psm and .pad files. I'll work with my team here to figure this out.

Hello Peter,
