I ended up figuring it out, was just able to rotate it within Altium. However it would be nice if it imported without me having to rotate it but no big issue

Thank you for reaching out. You're absolutely right—the 3D model required an orientation update to align correctly with the 2D model on our site. This discrepancy arose because the 3D model was hosted by TraceParts, which follows a different standard for origin placement.

In Altium, you can easily adjust the orientation and snap 3D models to your desired position using the available options (see this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1D4209eyf4oOA0LFynqFb8IORus_8yoJA/view?usp=drive_link).

For this particular model, we've prioritized the update and have already uploaded the corrected version on our site. Please feel free to re-download the updated 3D model.
